So, I bought Adam this fog machine for his truck so that he could have cool Halloween effects while selling tools. However, his truck can’t run the fog machine, so it was a bust. Adam decided it would be fun to use the fog machine inside our house. Specifically, in the bedroom for atmosphere.

Yeah.

That was all good and well, until we were done and turned on the house fan to clear the fog. Our smoke detector went off. I sighed and said "Wait for ADT to call." Well, they did call–Adam’s cell phone. They’re supposed to call the house first, then his cell, then my cell, and so on. They didn’t call the house. They called his cell to inform him they called the FIRE DEPARTMENT because they couldn’t get ahold of us!

Yikes. Adam told him it was a false alarm and to call off the dogs. I went along with my night as nonchalantly as possible, making popcorn, when there was a knock at the front door (which we never use). It was a county sheriff asking if everything was okay.

Not doing that again!!
